Scottsdale

Large contemporary homes with spectacular mountain views.

Welcome to Scottsdale Mountain

Located at the McDowell Mountains' foothills is Scottsdale Mountain, a premier gated community known for its beautiful natural scenery. Development started in the 1990s with a strong focus on building houses with spectacular views. Properties are custom-built in contemporary styles with open floor plans, high ceilings, and luxurious master suites and feature spacious lots with swimming pools and large patios. Those with mountain, city, and sunset views are especially in high demand. Exterior designs have to be pre-approved by the HOA to ensure a cohesive look throughout the community.

Scottsdale Mountain is the perfect place for those who love the great outdoors and want a more active lifestyle. The community boasts a sports complex with tennis, basketball, and spa facilities. Nearby trailheads lead to the Sonoran Preserve and McDowell Mountain Preserve. Several golf and country clubs in the area have open memberships for those interested in joining.

What to Love

  • Homes with spectacular mountain, city, and sunset views
  • Spacious lots with swimming pools and large patios
  • 24-hour guarded gates
  • High-end golf and country clubs with world-class amenities
  • Plenty of outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking, and tennis

Local Lifestyle

Scottsdale Mountain offers the ideal Arizona outdoor lifestyle. All homes have access to nearby hiking, biking, golfing, and horseback riding. Because larger lots surround homes and the community is not easily walkable, most residents have grown to value their peace and privacy. However, many often gather with family and friends at the community center.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Scottsdale Mountain is residential, but numerous eateries are found just outside the community gates. For fine dining, Casa Mia serves authentic Italian dishes using the finest ingredients, organic produce, and grass-fed beef. Popular dishes include beef tagliatelle, risotto, and veal pizzaiola. At their adjoining CM2 Pizzeria and Bakeshop, pizzas, paninis, and other baked goods are available for takeout.

Northwest of the community, Scottsdale Quarter is one of the city's premier shopping and dining destinations. The open-air mall boasts over 80 retailers, numerous eateries, a state-of-the-art cinema, and a children's splash pad. You'll find popular national brands, such as Lululemon, as well as upscale restaurants, such as Dominick's Steakhouse and Eddie V's Prime Seafood.
Just down the street, Kierland Commons is another outdoor plaza. Here you'll find Michael Kors and a Tesla storefront. Eateries include Postino Winecafe, Mastro's Ocean Club, and North Italia.

Market Street at DC Ranch is a mix-use space with offices, unique boutiques, and various restaurants. The buildings follow a central street theme, and smaller events are held at the different shops and restaurants.

AJ's Fine Foods is an upscale market chain for groceries and specialty food products and features an in-store bakery, seafood counter, and butcher station. You'll find gourmet products such as caviar, imported cheese, and a selection of fine wines. The exquisitely baked cakes are among their top sellers.

Scottsdale Mountain is a big golfing community, and The Waste Management Phoenix Open is one of the year's most anticipated events.
