Palma Kitchen + Tap has an eclectic farm-to-table menu. They offer shareable appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, and pizza, perfect for midday snacks or light dinners. For a heartier meal, the “Chef’s Corner” menu features American favorites such as pot roast, pork chops, fried chicken, and carbonara alongside kung pao shrimp and yakisoba noodles for a heartier meal. Other eateries include Tapas and Solaz. Both are members-only, feature gluten-free and vegetarian options, and serve drinks and bites poolside.
A local mainstay,
The Pork Shop, specializes in fresh pork products. Their expert butchers use and sell pretty much anything that comes from a pig. They make in-house sausages, smoked meats, hot dogs, and sugar-cured hams from generation-old recipes. They also have a unique brand of cheeses, including provolone, cheddar, and parmesan.
Barrio Queen serves a variety of authentic, upscale Mexican dishes. Traditional favorites include chiles en nogada, mole poblano, cochinita pibil, and pozole. They also serve seasonal favorites inspired by the fare and flavors of Mexico City. Bario Queen is located in Ellsworth Loop, which comprises several blocks of outdoor plazas where you can find just about anything you need.
Things to Do
About a 20-minute drive to Downtown Chandler, the annual Ostrich Festival is an entire weekend of live music, amusement rides, attractions, and fun activities. Now in its 33rd year, it has become one of the most popular festivals in the Southwest. It’s held at Tumbleweed Park each spring and draws 300,000 people annually.
